Meet the founder
An educator building a village for every child.
Chryss Moultrie is an elementary educator, a graduate of Morehouse College, and a graduate of Georgia State University's Master of Arts in Teaching program.
His work with young learners informs every part of The Village School's proposed design — from the emphasis on strong literacy and math foundations to the belief that families and neighbors belong in the life of a school. The vision is a community-centered school where every child is known, challenged, supported, and connected.

Welcome to The Village School! I'm Chryss Moultrie, and I am elated you're here.
The Village School grew from the questions and hopes parents have shared: Will my child be prepared for the real world? Will they grow into a global citizen? Will they learn to lead in a way that helps others thrive?
Those hopes are at the heart of the school we're proposing. Through our proposed MicroSociety model, students will learn by doing: exploring ideas, solving problems, working together, and practicing skills they can carry beyond the classroom. With daily Spanish instruction, they'll also build connections across languages and cultures.
We want every student to know the distinction of being a Blazer: curious, prepared, and ready to light the path for others. That's what we mean by “Rooted in Community. Ready for the World.”
The Village School is proposed to open in the 2028–2029 school year, beginning with Kindergarten through 3rd grade and adding a grade each year until grade 8. We're at the beginning of this journey, and I'm grateful you're here to learn about it.
Welcome to our village.
